YOP7 wk 6

I dont have a list for A Year of Projects. What I do have is a bundle I made on ravelry with projects I’d like to make.. someday. Also I’ve planned out 4 big quarterly projects. This quarter, July 1st to Sept 30 is the Princess Mononoke Pullover. Yes I started it in May but it is less than half done and it needs to get done.

This is the best photo I could post since I am in a middle of a row. This was a few months ago. I think I am close to half way done with the graph . When I take better pics I will talk about adjustments I want to make .

There is this group on ravelry that will be making the Sophie’s Universe blanket in October which is great since that is when I plan start my second big quarterly project… fate 🙂  And October is when I will have extra money from the Halloween orders from my etsy shop 🙂 🙂 Yup, I may have to buy more yarn for this project.

For my current WIPS , I am still working on the Man hat. I love how this yarn is knitting up. My YOP friend, Becki told me Saturate by Premier Yarns is discontinued. Which broke my heart 😦 I have one more skein of the color below ( agate) and  2 others (Zinna and Fluorite).  So I will be extra picky when it comes to projects for those.

And for another group (GEMS) I am making a crocodile scarf…. The CAL of the month is the Dragon/Crocodile/Alligator stitch. Where was this CAL when I made the Mermaid Cowl..lol This is the tail.

I could also finish the  crocodile fingerless gloves I started back in January.  We’ll see 🙂

YOP6 Week 52

Goodbye year 6….

Before year 6 of A Year of Projects is gone for good, ( so depressing) I needed to get a few things finished.

The holiday flag that has been laying around since year 6 started is now done. I’ve been looking at it in my WIPS basket and couldn’t bring myself to finish it the way it was , so I ripped off the tree and voila’ … all done.. and perfect 🙂

I’m at a crossroad with the Gilmore Girls blanket. I had to finish Luke’s Diner. It would bug me if  I didn’t . I am not sure if I will make the other blocks though. I am pretty dedicated to the FRIENDS blanket.  We’ll see.

Another c2c panel that needed to be finished is Aurora. Lack of gold yarn stopped me from finishing this….when I got more it went to the Luke’s Diner panel then the  MagicKarp hats. She is now finished… On to Ariel 🙂

 

Does anyone remember the Emoji Blanket I was working on? I have 6 emojis done… and I was deciding on what the other 3 will be…. I made the Poo emoji this past week.

And I finished this moss and front post stitch pony tail hat.  ❤

WIPS for the week are this stockinette stitch shawl… it grew a little bit from last week.

And I started another shawl… its called Skewed . its a free pattern on ravelry.

YOP6 Week 51

One more week and year 6 will be gone!

For year 7 I will be doing something with all the yarn balls i have… stash slim down is what I am calling it. So to get ready , I have been measuring all my balls .

For the pinks, reds , oranges, and yellows I have about a thousand yards. I havent added the total of the blues, greens, and purples yet. I still have more to do. I’m just giving my yard counter a break 😆

My FO ( Finished Object) for the the week is the adorable Sumo wrestler ❤ and a loom knitted headband.

And my WIP ( work in progress) is my first shawl…… Stockinette Shawl. its a free pattern on ravelry.

YOP6 week 50

So last Sunday I started my Wonder Woman bag. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make a hat or a bag.( big enough to fit my wallet) . All week I was thinking bag or hat, hat or bag. Wednesday night I chose bag. Its too warm for a hat. Plus I can use this when I see Wonder Woman on Thursday ( BTW I loved that movie. Gale makes a great Wonder Woman ❤ )

YOP6 week 49

My knitting is getting in the way of finishing my crochet WIPS..lol Ive been so obsessed with making my pullover that all the projects I wanted to finish by the end of June are still in my WIP basket.

I was able to finish my Owl wall hanging by Divine Debris. Its part of a Halloween Quartet but I just wanted to make the owl. I love how it came out. I hung it with a stick instead of a dowel.

Oi! this banner! moving on to the E now. Its gonna be huge !

And after a few people saying they didnt understand my Loom knit pattern for the dish towel holder , I updated it and added more pictures.
