New Project Monday

I actually have 4 new projects. I always seem to have more than one WIP . ( work in progress) Some I forget for a few weeks, some for months. I have some going on years.

Up first…. I love scarecrows. So I wanted to make a cute little cuddler. ( Pattern by Once Upon a Hook crochet) I have the front and back panels done. This week I plan to make the legs and arms and the other little pieces  for him. Behind the cuddler is a scarecrow flag…. or will be. Pattern by Snappy Tots

Also by Snappy Tots , Sweet Ridges Cupcake bag… I don’t really like working with thick yarn but I wanted to use this skein of Bernat Baby blanket yarn from my stash and Hometown USA Phoenix Azalea.

And closing out this post is Fair Isle slippers from Crochet magazine , Winter 2019 issue. As you can see I just started. I have small feet so I am making the 5/6 size which is the smallest size and they are about a half inch big 🙂

18 in 2018– Skein 1

My plan for 2018 (if you missed my last post) is to use 18 full skeins ( pretty close to full) of yarn from my stash. I am continuing the theme from my A year of Projects I started last year, which is to slim down my yarn stash( yarn balls mostly).

I don’t have a shortage of projects. I have a dozen knitting and crocheting mags, 214 bought patterns and over a thousand free projects saved on ravelry.

For my first skein I chose Red Heart Accent Guava. (discontinued) .

My project is Milkshake Kawaii Cuddler by 3amgracedesigns .

The first half of the cuddler used a good chunk. I hope I use up all of this yarn . I dont need a another ball of yarn.

For some reason I feel really rushed to finish these projects. Maybe its because I just want to make room for other stuff. I have about 5 skeins marked for this … venture. 18 is a big number. People can vote at 18..lol

This is gonna be a fun year 🙂

 

 

 

WIP Wednesday – Edith Sweater

So after a few years of making Edith hats , I caved. I was asked to make an Edith sweater. I have been asked a few times to make one but this year I said yes. I am confident  with my knitting where making a simple sweater wont scare the hell out of me. The pattern is easy enough. Its a paid pattern by Brigette Pini .

I started October 1st but really got into it ( meaning I put hat orders on hold until I make a good chunk of this sweater) on the 3rd .

As of last night I am almost done with one sleeve. I want to have this shipped out by the 16th.

 

WIP Wednesday

Today is a day of favorites which happen to all be on a Wednesday 🙂

On the needles: 

I have learned how to do cables!! I am so proud of myself. They are so easy! I’ve started 2 headbands , so far.  Ive been looking at my yarn , thinking how it would look with cables 🙂

Yarn used:

the first one is Studio Samples by Nicole. no colorway on label.

the gray one is Lion Brand Yarn ( who have been liking  few of my posts on instagram this past week 🙂 ) I think this color has been discontinued so I hope this headband will look awesome.

On the hooks:

Halloween orders have started 🙂 YAY! Again, lots of Edith hats.

And for something new to my shop… something with ringlets! this is a stash slim down project since I am using the Pretty n Pink balls for the ringlets.

On the hairpin lace loom:

MY FIRST PROJECT! Its a braided hairpin lace infinity scarf by B.hooked crochet . I have 1 panel complete and this panel is almost done 🙂 2 more to make. Then the fun braiding.

Yarn used: Red Heart Boutique . color : Stained glass.

YOP7 week 7

There isnt much to mention this week.. its been pretty dull.

My WIP for the month, like I mentioned last week, is the Princess Mononoke Pullover. I was able to take a better picture. I need to get needles with a longer cord. These are 16 inches.

The mask is almost complete. About 20 more rows..lol 🙂

My FO’s were actually finished a few weeks ago….

I made an infinity scarf on my purple KK loom. Ive loved this yarn for so long. its by Fancy Yarns. I have no idea what the colorway is.

And lastly, I frogged the Man hat. ugh!!! I got to the decrease and the hat was at a point where I could try it on. Too tight. It broke my heart to take it apart. Do I have any ambition to start over…. does not look good.  Although I love the yarn and the pattern, doing the knit rows hurt my thumb. Must be the thick yarn.
