Lets get down to business…..
In the last post I said I wasn’t liking the Stockinette Shawl, well the yarn I was using. Update : I frogged it.
Regrets? Nope. 🙂
I was able to successfully rip back to the point were the Skewed Shawl was going in another direction. It was really easy. I’ve never had a problem with picking stitches back up. 🙂 My new problem, must find more yarn, or add another color. As you can see I stopped in the middle of a row.
Jessie Rayot ( the pattern designer) made hers in 5 different solid colors.
I have worked so hard on this one I really want it to look good.
Shawl Sunday sounds better but I post my a year of projects post on Sundays and these shawls need there own posts…
This is the first shawl I’ve ever made. I was hoping the yarn would knit up better than this. Its called Reef by Red Hear Yarns. When I started this shawl I looked for other people on ravelry who have used this yarn and couldn’t find any. Yesterday I looked again and there are 45 projects. WTF.
A knitting friend on Instagram said ‘if I don’t like it I should frog it’. This yarn and pattern dont go well together at all. I was running out of room on these needles anyway.
This shawl I am loving… but it is curving in the opposite direction. ( why cant anything go right 😦 ) I have no idea how it happened. I know where it started so I placed a stitch marker there and plan on ripping back to those rows. The right side arrow shows the wrong direction.
I know the picture sucks, I just wanted to show the curving.
