YOP8 Week 36

Back again.

This is too cute! 

Ok so my new plan for my yarn is if its not Halloween season or Christmas I will make baby clothes , booties etc.

Well this week I finished two baby tops.

This Cactus Baby Cardigan is so adorable! I want to make one in my size….. for when I am an old lady…lol The pattern designer asked if it could be featured on her pattern page on  ravelry and of course I said YES! Cactus Baby Cardigan  .

 

Top # 2 is Baby Top Little Lace Tank  . The first one I made is pink since I have so much pink left over from Halloween orders. I plan to make  mint, pale yellow, purple , and gray tops as well.

There are a few sweaters I want to make , its still winter in most parts after all. Booties are next also.

 

Knitting WITHOUT Needles

Yes it can be done 🙂

My love obsession with yarn started with looming. My first “loom” was made with a TP tube and popsicle sticks. I learned this awesome craft from Cynthia Gagen . Its called French Knitting .

My first projects was a really long I-Cord. It was like 7 feet long 🙂 I just loved e-wrapping.

Anyway , with the Ravellenic Games coming up( Rio Baby!!) I thought I would join a looming team. The first team I joined in 2012 actually. Team Loominescent.I finished a lot of projects in 2012. I have 4 queued up as of right now. Maybe I will add one more ( like I need more projects) .

I haven’t played with my looms in a little while so I am a little rusty and my looms are a bit dusty 🙂

My goal is to finish least 3 projects. Ballerina baby socks., Loom knit Ridges Cowl, and Growing Leaves Cowl.  If I have time, Loom Knitted braid headband.

YOP week 27: Remember me?

Week 27. holy heck! I wish I had 27 weeks of progress pictures but the Mario Blanket and orders took up most of my time.

These hats are part of the 52 Hat Challenge on Ravelry and A year of Projects. Since I have more time now I can get back to my list(s).

I have many more hats on my list to make for my etsy shop. It needs more hats. Hats are the most popular item in my shop so that is all I make. everything else just sits there.

Along with adding more hats I am redesigning a few of the hats I already sell. Mainly the Anna and Elsa hats, Police Box, and Giraffe hats. I will be adding other animals, sets ( hat and booties combo for babies) , plain ol hats and all hats will be available in all sizes . I recently made the Lego hat available in all sizes and it is growing in popularity in my shop.

I have more ideas but I will save that for another blog.

Mario Blanket

This blanket is a year in the making. I started it last year with only a few squares. I joined a group called A Year of Projects on a site called Ravelry. If you knit or crochet, weave or spin then you have heard of Ravelry. Anyway… I joined the group so I’d be motivated to finish some projects. One of my biggest projects is a Mario Blanket for my hubby to be. Hes a gamer ( You already know that if you read my precious post) .

Over the past 2 months I have been making squares when I can fit in the time from making hats for customers.

With in the next week I plan to have the first 8 rows sewn together.
