YOP7 week 11

Here we are at week 11 and the beginning of a very busy Halloween season for me 🙂 I will be adding new hats to my etsy shop THIS WEEK, Princess Leia, and a few styles of Pumpkin hats also a surprise hat that I wont be sharing until I am done. I didnt really want to make this hat because of the hair but its actually pretty fun..lol.

Yesterday while Jon was at the theater watching IT I went to A.C.Moore, The Christmas Tree shop and 5 Below ( its like the Dollar Tree but everything is UNDER $5 ).

The only thing I needed was the light pink yarn. My go to yarn has always been Red Heart, but this Studio Classic by Nicole may be replacing Red Heart for me. Its softer, there is more yardage and its less $$$$ , at A.C Moore. I believe its an exclusive like I Love This Yarn is for Hobby Lobby. I also bought some faux fur, cross stitch kits and Studio Samples by Nicole… I couldn’t pass up yarn for a $1 🙂

This bowl I bought at Stop and Shop … Perfect for my yarn balls while I work on the  ‘Ugliest blanket you’ve ever seen’ 🙂  above are the 2 newest squares.

I dont like spiders buts its purple and the spiders aren’t visible with the yarn. I also bought an orange one for our apples .

 

YOP 7 week 10- I am such an idiot !

I have a favor to ask… forget I ever mentioned the Princess Mononoke Pullover. I messed up so bad. I was suppose to add stitches for a few rows before the chart portion. Being almost done with the chart , there is no way I am ripping back rows.

Moving on….. I started a new hobby. Cross Stitching. I must say it is a BLAST. I bought some cheapy packs to practice with… Here is one that took me about a week to make.

WIPS

I posted about the Log Cabin blanket on Friday. I thought it would be a good stash buster for all the balls of yarn I have instead of making a bunch of little projects. Now I am just making a bunch of little squares..lol

I am also working on a Swirled Ski Cap ( knit) and a Braided hairpin lace infinity scarf. I will add pictures later. I am almost done with the second hairpin lace panel . I think I need to make 4 .

The Great Stash Bust of 2017

My stash slim down isn’t slimming as fast as I wanted it to. I don’t mind the almost full to full skeins of yarn , its the little balls that piss me off..lol 🙂

I had a list of small projects I was going to use the balls for but once I made those projects , then what? They would just lay around collecting dust, taking up room I cant spare. So with that in mind I searched through patterns I have saved on ravelry and found the log cabin potholder.  I’ve seen blankets made like this so thats what I wanted to do . I was so against making blankets because they take up so much room but its better than multiple little projects taking up room.

I will be calling this blanket      ‘The ugliest blanket you’ve ever seen’ . 🙂

I made a few small 3 round squares that I may keep the way they are and make more of with the smallest balls. I may only have enough yarn to make a lap blanket if I continue with the big squares, and thats ok. I may even use some of my full skeins. 🙂

The yarn I am using is Red Heart worsted weight with an H hook.
