Gilmore Girls CAL: My Journey,part 1

Another C2C CAL has caught my attention. I know I haven’t finished the Princess and Villains C2C CAL yet, but this one is sooo much more important!! Its the GILMORE GIRLS!!!!!

I wasn’t a fan of the show when it aired in 2000 but since hearing about the revival I wanted to check it out to see what the hype was about. I finished all 7 seasons in about 2 months thanks to Netflix and watched A Year in the Life in 2 nights. ( and have since re watched winter and spring) . I can see why so many people love that show.

I dont remember how I found the C2C CAL by Chaos & Chop Suey But I am glad I did. Angela designed amazing squares .

After much thinking , my first squares are going to be Luke’s diner sign and the  Love Rocket  Logan gave Rory. ( my 2 fav guys).

About half way done. Up next is the Love Rocket 🙂

A Year of Projects, Sharing my life

YOP6 week 27

Hi all… I’m back!! 🙂

Sorry for my 2 week absence… I got ran over by the Messy bun beanie bandwagon. 🙂 I got everyone’s orders out for Christmas who needed them by then. My most popular color is Turqua. I now hate the color..lol kidding. I still love it. it is yarn after all . I have a few other designs I need to add to my etsy.

Speaking of yarn.. a fellow local Yopper (Dianna ) gave me a bag of Red heart Unforgettable and Knit Picks yarn . OMG I love every single ball!!

And I made this hat from one of the balls… well it only took  half.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a safe and fun New Years ❤

Crochet stuff, Knitting Adventures

Finished Friday

I have 4 , yes FOUR hats to show off today. Lets dive right in 🙂

I started this knitted hat last week and I finished it a few days ago. Knitting is so much fun. But the decreasing is stressful. My DPNs( double pointed needles to the non knitters) dont like me. my stitches fall off and I have to pick them up and a few I have to re-knit. I ‘ll get the hang of it someday. This one also has a crocheted brim. I started the decrease too early.

This Pom Pom hat is entirely knit. I’ve had this yarn for a few years and it needed to become something. I love this hat!!!!

If you dont live under a rock or have no life 🙂 then you might of seen people post their version of the messy bun/ponytail beanie. I jumped on the band wagon last night after I saw my facebook newsfeed blow up with crocheters and their beanies.

The first, I used a pattern I had in my ravelry queue.( Urban Shells Beanie ) To make it into a pony tail beanie I just single crocheted 24 around an elastic and continued with the pattern as it was written out. I’m glad I chose this design.  And yes I used the same yarn I used for the knitted hat above 🙂 I have a few skeins of it.

This one I just winged. I wanted something that would let some air through. And we all know I like post stitches, so they’re included too 🙂 I will post this pattern soon (for free) . I chose these colors because its almost Christmas. My fiance and I are going to the Festival of Lights in Mystic CT tonight and I want to wear this.  All I do is wear ponytails so these hats are perfect for me.

Temperature Blanket 2016

Temperature Blanket 2016 update

The end of 2016 is so close and I realized I have not posted a separate update for the Temperature blanket in a few months.

As you can see , not many HOT days. Nothing over 100 degrees. But It was quite humid on some days. The orange squares are the 90s .

Thankfully by September it started to cool off. Almost hoodie weather 🙂

october

I marked Halloween on the last square, as you can see. I have a heart for Valentines day and a shamrock for St Patrick’s day attached . I need to add a few more.

The November squares are being made this week and will be crocheted to  the other squares this month. I am a little behind but making the squares is a bigger part than sewing them together , I think.

I just can wait for this blanket to be done. 🙂 So I can choose the colors and design for the 2017 temperature blanket.
