A Year of Projects year 11, week 1

I have returned! I haven’t posted anything since January 2020. Wow! What a year that was. And if you were wondering… I have made it this long with out getting covid 😁

I barely crocheted anything in the past year and a half. Hat orders for etsy and a few C2C projects. One that I have to finish is… if you have read my blog before…. the FRIENDS blanket. I finished ‘ The One with the Magna Doodle’ and I am now working on ‘ The One with Phoebe’s guitar ‘. Yes its blue. I have not seen one like it. And Phoebe actually used a blue guitar . Its on YouTube as Ross scares Phoebe.

I need to close up a few letters.

I like this soooo much!

New Project Monday

If you didnt catch my Year of Projects post from yesterday , check it out here or just continue reading.

I actually have 4 new projects. I always seem to have more than one WIP . ( work in progress) Some I forget for a few weeks, some for months. I have some going on years.

Up first…. I love scarecrows. So I wanted to make a cute little cuddler. ( Pattern by Once Upon a Hook crochet) I have the front and back panels done. This week I plan to make the legs and arms and the other little pieces  for him. Behind the cuddler is a scarecrow flag…. or will be. Pattern by Snappy Tots

Also by Snappy Tots , Sweet Ridges Cupcake bag… I don’t really like working with thick yarn but I wanted to use this skein of Bernat Baby blanket yarn from my stash and Hometown USA Phoenix Azalea.

And closing out this post is Fair Isle slippers from Crochet magazine , Winter 2019 issue. As you can see I just started. I have small feet so I am making the 5/6 size which is the smallest size and they are about a half inch big 🙂

YOP9 week 7

I have finally gotten around to writing A Year of Projects post for year 9 . I am not sure what I want to do make for year 9. I think mainly tops for myself. I have finished one (see below ) and I have 3 on the hook(s).

This is the Kanata Kerchief Tank. It looks good on the hanger but it makes me look fat! Its the XL . I should of made the medium. I like somewhat baggy t-shirts but this is way to much.

Below is the Aestas Top. I LOVE THIS !! I have many more rows to go. I may never take it off when its finished. I am heading to Tampa on Monday and I was hoping to be able to wear this but I don’t think I will have time to finish it in time.

And I am still on my c2c obsession .. Lovable Loops had a Alphabet blanket crochet along back in January. I made an E. The rest of my name will be coming soon in other shades of purple. I used Red Heart yarn, super saver accent and with love metallic.

WIP Wednesday

Both my current WIPS are part of my 18 in 2018.

Skein #3 is Camouflage by Red heart yarns. its a jumbo skein. So I have a lot of crocheting or knitting to do with this big boy.

My first project is a pair of camo baby pants. I need new stuff in my shop and I thought these would be cute.  Pattern is by Cass Dodge. (<<<pattern link. ) The pattern is easy and well written.

I already have one project done using skein #2. Hyacinth. Also by Red Heart but this is their accent line which is discontinued. 😦  I will post about that on Friday. Hopefully I have these pants and my second project with the hyacinth finished.

So my second project with skein #2 is Animal crackers beanie by Snappy Tots ( <<< link to pattern) Orchid ( by Red Heart) is also being used as the bottom of the hat and the inside of the ears. I’m making a bunny since it is almost Easter.

 

18 in 2018– Skein 1

My plan for 2018 (if you missed my last post) is to use 18 full skeins ( pretty close to full) of yarn from my stash. I am continuing the theme from my A year of Projects I started last year, which is to slim down my yarn stash( yarn balls mostly).

I don’t have a shortage of projects. I have a dozen knitting and crocheting mags, 214 bought patterns and over a thousand free projects saved on ravelry.

For my first skein I chose Red Heart Accent Guava. (discontinued) .

My project is Milkshake Kawaii Cuddler by 3amgracedesigns .

The first half of the cuddler used a good chunk. I hope I use up all of this yarn . I dont need a another ball of yarn.

For some reason I feel really rushed to finish these projects. Maybe its because I just want to make room for other stuff. I have about 5 skeins marked for this … venture. 18 is a big number. People can vote at 18..lol

This is gonna be a fun year 🙂
