A Year of Projects year 11, week 1

I have returned! I haven’t posted anything since January 2020. Wow! What a year that was. And if you were wondering… I have made it this long with out getting covid 😁

I barely crocheted anything in the past year and a half. Hat orders for etsy and a few C2C projects. One that I have to finish is… if you have read my blog before…. the FRIENDS blanket. I finished ‘ The One with the Magna Doodle’ and I am now working on ‘ The One with Phoebe’s guitar ‘. Yes its blue. I have not seen one like it. And Phoebe actually used a blue guitar . Its on YouTube as Ross scares Phoebe.

I need to close up a few letters.

I like this soooo much!

YOP9 Wk 18

Erin is back.. back again, Erin is back , tell a friend…lol

Another Halloween season is done……I made a total of 57 hats from 9/1 – 10/ 26. That to me is Halloween season. My total is up by 5 from last year of 52. ( I wish I could make 50 hats a month all year long 🙂  )

Below are the new hats for the season. I sold a few Raggedy Ann hats and the Minecraft Pig . As always my pig seller was the Edith Hats with 26  down from 33 from last year. The dancing snoopy hat I make was a bit popular too . 🙂

 

 

Moving on… To keep me motivated for the rest of Year 9 I decided to try my Hook Challenge again. A few years ago I said I wanted to make something with every hook I had. Projects are still in the works. I might start up next month.

YOP9 week 7

I have finally gotten around to writing A Year of Projects post for year 9 . I am not sure what I want to do make for year 9. I think mainly tops for myself. I have finished one (see below ) and I have 3 on the hook(s).

This is the Kanata Kerchief Tank. It looks good on the hanger but it makes me look fat! Its the XL . I should of made the medium. I like somewhat baggy t-shirts but this is way to much.

Below is the Aestas Top. I LOVE THIS !! I have many more rows to go. I may never take it off when its finished. I am heading to Tampa on Monday and I was hoping to be able to wear this but I don’t think I will have time to finish it in time.

And I am still on my c2c obsession .. Lovable Loops had a Alphabet blanket crochet along back in January. I made an E. The rest of my name will be coming soon in other shades of purple. I used Red Heart yarn, super saver accent and with love metallic.

YOP8 wk 53

At last, year 8 has come to an end.

Here is where I usually post a few collages of what Ive worked on over the past 12 months but I cant do that this time. I started out good but I just fizzled out on the crochet stuff towards the end this year.

I recently discovered this new to me crochet designer ; Disco Sloth Designs . I found her on Instagram. She had just started her c2c summer blanket crochet a long   (#c2csummerblanketcal ) Each week she posted 4 new c2c panels for the blanket. Stuff like a lady bug, the beach, a camper, tent, a rainbow, etc… summer stuff. Anyway, Ive made about 3 . I made them into wall decor.

More new stuff I am making for my etsy shop…. Baby Bibs. This one is perfect for the Miami Dolphins fan…lol I was about 80% done with it when I realized what the colors reminded me of.

Well that’s it for year 8.

 

 

 

 

YOP 8 wk 40

Hi All… I thought I would drop by again 🙂

I dont have much to show. Hopefully that will change in the coming months.

I saw this design on Instagram . The designer hasn’t posted a link to the pattern but since I am not selling what I made I hope she doesn’t mind I made one for myself. Its c2c (corner 2 corner) .

I bought this Dragon Purse pattern a month ago. I thought it was cool although I am not much of  a dragon fan . It uses a stitch I dont use much but love . The Crocodile stitch.

I ran out of yarn BUT I am not frogging this one. When I go to walmart at the end of the week I will get more Mainstays basic yarn. I do want to start another one so I will use a whole skein for number 2.

I love love love this stitch. 

And since its spring I am growing stuff! I started this lettuce (romaine) last week and look at the cute little sprouts! I need to put them in soil soon.

Jon mentioned getting me a mini greenhouse so I can grow more veggies. I’m on the fence about that. I’m a bit nervous that everything will die or an animal gets inside and destroys everything. We’ll see. Do you grow your own veggies? Tell me all bout it 🙂
