YOP7 week 4

I was going to do the A year of Projects posts every other week so I wasn’t in a rush to get something started or finished to show….. But I have to show off this amazing FO !!!!

Its called Mermaid’s Cowl. I really love this stitch. I used a g size hook instead of the H the pattern called for. The yarn is Caron Simply Soft: Pink Camo. I used all but a little ball of this yarn. Its also not as wide as the pattern. It covers the neck( my mannequin head has a longer neck than I do..lol) .

And for my WIP… Another crochet along by Chaos and Chop Suey.  This one is for Grease. One of my all time favorite movies.  Week one is Pink Ladies. I am at the decrease 🙂 I will finish the other half over the next few days so I do not fall behind 🙂

  1. Your colorwork crochet is so neat. I bet it’s easier than knitting’s? Great mermaid cowl. It certainly looks like scales and it’ll keep out the cold winds.

  2. The cowl is awesome! What a great gift that would make. I love how the colors worked out. The “Grease” C2C is interesting….I can’t wait to see how it all goes together in the end. I read her pattern description. I want to look at her other patterns too. I love C2C! Have a great week!

  3. Your cowl is gorgeous Erin but how cool is that Pink Ladies C2C! I clicked through to see what was the CAL all along and seeing the other blankets this one is going to be so cool! Really looking forward to seeing more of the squares.

  4. The mermaid’s cowl is so beautiful! I love the colours! 🙂 I saw Grease in theaters when it came out. My grandfather brought my sister and I there, he stood with us at the counter and gave permission for us to go in. They said we needed him to accompany us because it was rated R. He bought a ticket and sat in the lobby eating popcorn while we watched the movie lol…it was always our secret because our parents would have flipped knowing we saw it!
