YOP6 Week 39

I really hate missing a A year of projects post.  I missed week 36, 37 and 38 because I had an order for 2 knitted pink p*ssy hats with Harry Potter brim, another for a sock monkey hat, and 2 more pink kitty hats.

When I was done with them I was able to finish a second pair of the easy knitted fingerless gloves. I love how they came out. I might make another pair. I used Knit Picks Chroma in Sugar Cookie. I like that with these I can either wear the green side or the pink/purple? white side 🙂

With some help ($$)I will be making soaps again!! So I will be splitting my time between knitting/crocheting and soap making.  I made these bars a few nights ago. with limited materials and doing tie dye for the first time, I think they came out pretty good.

Also double knitting has made its way into my life. Its so f’in fun!!!! I made a cowl for my cat. She wouldn’t model it for me though.

YOP6 Week 35

YAY we have our new computer. Jon couldn’t be happier. Seriously. 🙂

For Becki, and Stefanie who asked about the Wildlife Nests. The nests I am making are for local wildlife rescues in need. These are the standard cage nests for small animals. Volunteers make just about any size needed for the rescue they want to help. But you have to register and make the patterns that are on the Wildlife Rescue Nests website.

I have to re make a few. I made them an inch too big.

Now for other projects. I have been knitting up a storm. I have finished one project and have two on my needles.

You know you are a knitter when you look at a crochet pattern and say ” That would look better knitted” . And that is what i did for my Irish Flag cowl. The pattern I found was a moss stitch and called for balky yarn. One, not having  balky yarn in orange or green and two , not wanting a thick crocheted cowl, I chose to knit. 🙂

I also started a Patriots hat for my older brother for his birthday in May. It may be too warm for him to wear it but I know he will like it. I am also making a pair of fingerless gloves. I love the look of these and they are so easy to make .

I was back to my Temperature Blanket I started last year on Saturday. The weather was so nice. I sewed August, September and October to the rest of the blanket. Now to make November and December squares and sew them on . Oh and my cat Stormy helped, well she tried 🙂

In other crochet news, I made this dream catcher . Its by Drops Designs. I love it and plan to make a few more in other colors. I need to find a cool looking stick to hang it with instead of using a stuffing dowel.
