I was set on not having a wedding registry. I don’t like to be greedy, but dammit, we need stuff..hehe. Jon is leaving everything up to me. Thank you very much.
Since we are not having a reception ( just dinner at our favorite restaurant) I will have to plan a small party for April a week or 2 before the wedding. We have a small apartment so I hope the weather will be nice and warm by April. Thinking about it, that little outside party ( not a cookout) can be the reception. I really want to shove cake up Jon’s nose 🙂
Even if just 5 people show up it will be worth it.
I didn’t add much to the registry. 27 total with 12 being most wanted. We’ve wanted a waffle maker for sometime now but forgetting to pick one up when ever we go to the store. A charcoal grill would be nice. Back massager for Jon. He does a lot of lifting at work.
I may just delete the list. It still seems a bit greedy to me with out having the proper parties, ect.
I am new to the Kindle Fire world. I purchased one for myself on Amazon last week. I can’t stop playing with it! games, books, music, the web and so much more!
One problem I have is getting it charged. Jon ( fiance ) is on the computer at night and the usb holes are usually occupied with his headset and a game controller and its off when we sleep. So using the PC isnt always the best option. I made a list of a few devices that will charge a Kindle fire for people looking.
PC is an obvious choice. But it takes about 8 hours to charge. A little pop up will let you know that it is a low power device for charging. go figure.
PlayStation 4 is one you may not know about. Jon told me to plug the kindle into the same hole the game controllers plug into. And what to you know, it works. Way faster than the PC. 3-4 hours depending how low the battery is.
Amazon charger. $20 for a charger? seriously? Damn. The Kindle I bought did not come with one so I bought one the other day. I wish I would of waited .
Phone charger is one I am really shocked that worked. I have a cheapy tracfone. I don’t need something over priced. It calls out and I’m able to receive calls…good enough for me. I barely use it anyway. Yesterday I was wondering if my $5 tracfone charger would work with the Kindle. So last night I plugged it into the wall near the couch and plugged my wonderful Kindle Fire in and what do you know, It worked. It was at 72% , didn’t really need to be charged but I was curious. I’m not sure how long it took to charge but its a great option if you aren’t able to access a PS4 or a PC or if you cant afford an Amazon charger.
For the next 12 months I plan to follow all the info I have pinned and bookmarked on how to be a better blogger.
Now to find my niche. Most of my posts are about my crochet business, cooking, my upcoming wedding and I think I have a few diet posts. I am not a mom and I don’t understand fashion. Two very popular topics. I love to garden and organizing. I am a wanna be gamer and I have a cat. Looks like Lifestyle wins. Maybe a Tips, Tricks and How to blog?
There are so many people blogging about the same thing. So why do I want to I want to be a blogger? I love words, typing and sharing. I don’t want to be famous. Too much attention makes me nervous. I hope I can help someone with what I ramble about.
Over the next week I plan to set some goals for this blog and myself. I just read a post from one of the ladies in my fb blog groups. She talked about goal setting and made a lot good points. Please check out her post.
12 months seems like a long time. Just enough time to understand all I need to know. Meet new people. Learn new things, get things organized!
My first task before I get started… Work on my about page.
